2025 - January 14 After our Chapter EZ regular meeting, a special Program entitled "Hearts on Fire for Future Generations" by Sherrie Linderer.

2025 - Saturday, January 18 our Chapter EZ hosted a Founder's Day fundraiser supporting our P.E.O. Projects.  Wendy and Bill Talich sold their "rock jewelry" and donated all their profits to our projects.  Connie Zimmerman was in charge of selling one of our favorite fundraisers of "Herbs".  Barb Cooley and Marian Bass was in charge of a special Bingo game following luncheon.

2025 - Tuesday, January 28, we had a very special guest speaker before our regular meeting.  A distant cousin of Amelia Earhart, Nancy Earhart Burt, gave a special presentation.  We heard some voices from the past and observed precious old photos of family, careers and history.

2025 - February 11 our Chapter EZ had a special guest, Primrose Dzenga, an American originally from Zimbabwe.  She is Chapter EZ's P.E.O. Scholar 2024-2025.  Primrose is an ASU Global Studies scholar.  Her scholarship supports her research toward her doctorate degree (PhD.) in Global Studies, graduating this May.  Primrose spoke to our chapter about pre-natal and post-natal care for woman.

2025 - February 25, Chapter EZ elected new officers for the 
2025-2026 year.  President, Sharon Odden; Vice President, Sam Nichols; Recording Secretary, Bev Zengel; Corresponding Secretary, Marian Bass; Treasurer, Galene Sobolik; Chaplain, Mary Sibley; and Guard, Gwen Higuera.  The Presidents Letter for 2024-2025 was read by President, Sharon Odden.

At the time of the President's Letter on February 25, 2025 Chapter EZ membership stands at 48 with an average attendance of 29 sisters.  We initiated one new member and welcomed one transfer.  Six guests visited Chapter EZ and one of our sisters entered Chapter Eternal, just shy of her 100th birthday.  The theme for 2024-2025 was "Hearts on Fire".  Glance back at our History pages on this website to see the various programs and theme names for each one.  Chapter EZ contributed $5,400 to international projects and $2,400 to state projects.  

PRESIDENT FOR 2025-2026, Sharon Odden

2025 - February 25 Sharon Odden was elected President for the 2025-2026 year, and graciously accepted.  She was installed with other new officers on March 11 by Nancy Likens.

2025 - March 25 Chapter EZ program was called "Hearts on Fire for Superstition Mountain Museum".   Guest speaker, Marge Scholar from Superstition Mountain Museum located near Mesa, AZ in Apache Junction.  The museum includes exhibits, special events, free lectures and classes.

2025 - April 8 Our Program theme was "Hearts on Fire for the Community" and our guest speaker, Jill Dill represented AAUW.  Jill is a member of the East Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).  Mission:  Advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.  Though AAUW is non-partisan, we are not values-neutral:  We fight to remove the barriers and biases that stand in the way of gender equity.  (See left photo below).


2025 - April 8 In the photo below to the right are some of our sisters making creative and colorful decorations to match the paper plates and napkins that will be used at our upcoming BIL event on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

2025 - Saturday, April 22 was our traditional BIL Event.  The party was held in the open patio area at Leisure World.  The Theme was 
"HEARTS ON FIRE FOR THOSE WHO INSPIRE!"  Guest shared who inspired them through the years and why.  The event was held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and include a buffet.  See photos below.

2025 - April 22 our meeting program theme was:  "Hearts on Fire for those in Crisis".  Our guest speaker, Annette Sellers, NEW LEAF organization helping families or individuals who need housing and shelter.  New Leaf provides financial empowerment, give domestic violence services, educational services and family support services.  After the program we had our regular meeting when included an Initiation Ceremony for two new members Sharon McGavick and Keila Hudson.  Again, see photos below.
